We would like to remind members that these weekly sessions are not classes, but have been organised to entertain, inspire and encourage you. They are a mix of ‘tasters’ and demos, with a variety of topics and ideas in different media and approaches, to enrich our artistic experience.

Super Doodles – bring a wide variety of photo reference, watercolour, acrylic inks, any mixed media

Life drawing With Alison Carlier – your usual drawing materials and paper – there will be some cartridge paper available

‘Autumn fruit and veg!’ bring your own! with Annette. Bring acrylic ink, good paper, or canvas board

Putting the Mighty Pencil into our work! You will need a variety of thick and thin graphite pencils/sticks, paper torchons, soft rubbers, paper &  reference

Photo Challenge - working in two colours (Prussian blue or indigo and raw sienna or yellow ochre) plus black and white, from a black and white photograph (which will be provided.)

Painting wild animals inspired by Tom Shepherd’s zoom – bring appropriate media and reference.

Nov 16th

Painting with a restricted palette of four colours in oils with Colin Twinn; looking for new /interesting combinations of colours to work with your chosen reference

Wet in Wet Flowers with Jacky  Cowdrey – watercolour equipment, flowers, photographs of flowers etc 

Nov 30th

Exploiting watercolour with Jane Anderson Wood – bring good quality heavyweight watercolour paper and your usual watercolour materials, (preferably tubes).

Dec 7th

Christmas still life (bring your own!) & we will provide mince pies 

-The Hall will be open from 9.45am, and members are required to wear masks when entering, and when moving around the hall. You can remove your mask when sitting at your table.

-The session will end at 1pm.

-Hand sanitizer will be available on arrival.

-Members (who are able) will have to get their own table and chair from the store, and be responsible for returning both at the end of the session. You are also responsible for clearing up after yourself and cleaning the floor are around where you were working.

-The kitchen will be open for refreshments but you are required to bring your own cup.

-You will need to bring your own reference material to the sessions unless otherwise stated.

-We would like to maintain the “no Covid conversations” rule on Tuesday mornings, as we did during our Zoom sessions over the last eighteen months.
