Membership is open to anyone over 18 and living within a 10 –12 mile radius of Dorking. New members join at non-exhibiting level. The membership fee is £30. Members who join after July 1st pay a reduced rate of £15.
Membership runs from 1st Jan to 31st Dec each year, and entitles every member to participate in the summer and winter programme activities (subject to any number limit the committee may wish to impose).
Exhibiting membership is subject to being elected by a selection committee who meet twice yearly. You will receive information about this once you join the DGA. Membership details will used for DGA purposes only and will not be given out to any other members (other than the committee), or any other person or parties without prior
permission.
Once you have filled in and submitted the application form the membership secretary will contact you to tell you how to pay your membership fee.
Once you are a non-exhibiting member you then have the option to apply for exhibiting membership.

Annual subscription £35 renewed Jan 2nd each year.
Next selection panel is on July 2nd 2025* N.B. this July 2025 session is now full. Applications from May 1st 2025 will be considered for the January 2026 selection panel.
You need to join as a member of the DGA before applying for exhibiting membership. Members can present their work to a selection committee. Selection takes place twice a year, in January and June/July. If you are accepted as an exhibiting member you are required to pay an extra £5 for exhibiting membership, and you can submit paintings to the twice yearly exhibitions of members’ work. As an exhibiting member you are expected to help at exhibitions, for example with setting up, taking down or stewarding.
